When Tiger chases a ball into the woods during a game of baseball, she fails to see Cropsy with his shears in his hands. Afterwards, Alfred gets in trouble for scaring the girls, which almost leads to him being kicked out of the camp. Glazer even threatens him, and he remains glum. The most infamous scene in the movie is when some of the campers are on the canoe, and they're killed off by Crospy. When Michelle swims in the deep water to find their bodies, she warns Todd. Afterwards, Glazer and Sally are attacked as they make out in the woods.

The campers see off their friends before they meet Cropsy...Tony Maylam's "The Burning", (1981). Rick Wakeman from the UK band Yes, provides the eerie music for the movie.
